Special Skills

Ubuntu Server

Having always wanted to play games with my friends I took a the chance to buy a used Dell PowerEdge that I have install Ubuntu Server onto. While having this server I have learned so much about the linux system and interacting with it via CLI whether that be through SSH or on the old keyboard and monitor I have hooked up to it. This server has been used to host a Minecraft server, CounterStrike Source server, Terraria server, and much more with each of these experiences resulting in me learning something new.

Eagerness To Learn

Sitting through a class is something many people can do, but wanting experience and putting yourself out there is where many fall short. I try to join and participate in anything that interests me which is why I am part of the Ethical Hacking Club at Auburn. In this club we go outside of our comfort zone and challenge ourselves by participating in online labs by TryHackMe and HackTheBox. Along with these labs we also learn how to set up virtual machines and use tools such as Nmap and wireshark.

Python

My first experience with code was when my dad bought me a "Python for dummies" book and gave me a very old Lenovo ThinkPad. Every since I have been fascinated with  the how and why computers work and the logic behind them. Many of my first projects have been exclusively python, ranging from a simple "Hello World!" to a fully functional flask web server that functions as a web based version of the Dexcom app (Used for getting the blood glucose level of a person wearing a Dexcom product).

Website Project

A great example of my hunger to learn is this very website. The process of hosting a website was a very new concept to me but I decided that I would jump straight into it. This experience got me familiar with HTML, JavaScript, CSS and the process of getting a domain, setting up the DNS settings, and being able to transfer everything when SquareSpace bought Google Domains
